The Valley of Peshawar is covered with consolidated deposits of silt, sands and gravel of recent geological times. The flood Plains/Zones are the areas between Kabul River and Budni Nala. The meander flood plain extends from Warsak in the Northwest towards Southeast in the upper Northern half of the district. The Kabul river enters the district in the Northwest. On entering the Peshawar Plain, the Kabul River is divided into several channels. Its two main channels are the Adizai River Eastward flows along the boundary with Charsadda Distric.

Peshawar

 Winter in Peshawar starts from mid November to the end of March. Summer months are May to September. The mean maximum temperature in summer is over 40 °C (104 °F) and the mean minimum temperature is 25 °C (77 °F). The mean minimum temperature during winter is 4 °C (39 °F) and maximum is 18.35 °C (65.03 °F).


Swat:-                                                                                                                                                        The swat weather varies by its locations, for example, the daily average temperature in summer in the lower swat valley (Mingora) is around 29.2°C (84.6°F) and 23.0°C (73.4°F) in the upper regions (Kalam). In contrast, swat weather in winter can be harsh, the average daily temperature in winter is 7.6°C (45.7°F) the lower swat and 1.5°C (34.7°F) in upper swat regions.


Dir:-                                                                                                                            Dir (Urdu, Pashto: دیر‎) is a town in Upper Dir District, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province, Pakistan at an elevation of 1420 m. It is sometimes known as Dir Khas ("Proper Dir") to distinguish it from the district. It lies at the foot of the Lowarai Pass, the main motor road to Chitral, on the Dir River, a tributary of the Panjkora River.


Chitral:-                                                Chitral (Pashto/Urdu: چترال‎, romanized: ćitrāl; Khowar: چھترار‎, romanized: ćhitrār, Khowar for "field") is the capital of the Chitral District, situated on the Chitral River in northern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. Chitral also served as the capital of the princely state of Chitral until 1947.



Mines and minerals in kpk:-


Kpk has the potential of producing high quality marble/ granite, cement grade lime stone, phosphates, soapstone, nepheline syenite & other industrial minerals beside gemstone and metallic minerals its southern part has extensive potential of industrial rocks and minerals which include rock salt, gypsum.

DROSH-CHITRAL:-

 On Drosh-Chitral road at mouth of Shishi River on south side. Green coloring in brecciated dolomite. Brecciated zone is 2 ft (0.6 m) thick; brecciated dolomite contains patches of green mineral that looks like malachite. Analysis shows no unusual amounts of cop￾per or other metallic minerals, except for 0.7 percent chromium. Mineral may be chromian chlorite. J160.- South abutment of Shishi bridge. Malachite staining in tuffaceous greenstone. Sample not analyzed. JU9a.-Qn Drosh-Chitral road, 1 mile (1.6 km) north of Shishi River. Traces of chalcopyrite, pyrite, and malachite at edges of thin quartz veinlets cutting layer of amphibolite. Locality is in belt of interlayered granite and amphibolite. Analyses show 4.6 ppm silver, 0.1 ppm gold, 0.3 percent copper. J150.-On Drosh-Chitral road, 2 miles (3.2 km) north of Shishi River. 


Kohat:-

The Kohat mine is one of the largest gypsum mines in Pakistan.The mine is located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The mine has reserves amounting to 4.91 billion tonnes of gypsum.
